the 40,000 year old MUSE

source: msnbc.com
See this?  This is a wondrous object.  It is a 40,000 year old bone flute, which was found in a cave in Southern Germany. It is awe-inspiring to think of cave flutists playing music around their campfire. Perhaps joined for the evenings revels by their Neanderthal cousins, who were still extant at the time.

This bird bone musical instrument discovery pushes back the era of when anthropologists believe human creativity emerged. Even in the dim dawn of human prehistory, so it would seem, our human ancestors were inspired by the MUSE.
